Privacy Disclosure Notice for Stashin Mortgage Services, LLC


We respect our customers right to privacy.  In the course of our business, you may provide us with confidential information concerning your financial affairs and we understand and appreciate the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of that information.  We strive to meet the highest standards in conduct of our business.  Maintaining the confidentiality of the information you entrust us is a responsibility we take very seriously.  We collect, maintain, use and share the information about you only where we reasonably believe that it will help administer our business or provide products, services and other opportunities to you.

To conduct regular business, we may collect nonpublic personal information from sources such as:

  • Information reported by you on applications and other forms you provide us
  • Information reported by other parties in conjunction with your request
  • Information about your transaction(s) with us or others

That we use to evaluate a loan application and that we may use to comply with certain laws and regulations, such as the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act. 

We share nonpublic personal information solely to service our client requests; we do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.  We do not sell customer or former customer lists or personal information to list brokers, marketing firms or to other third parties.

Sharing of nonpublic personal information with third parties, individuals or companies outside of Stashin Mortgage Services, LLC are considered third parties.  Mortgage Brokers are permitted and sometimes required to share customer information with third parties for certain purposes, such as servicing customer relationships, fraud and risk management, and responding to transaction requests or for government audits.  At times, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following types of non-affiliated third parties:

  • Lenders, appraisers, title companies, escrow companies, attorneys, insurance companies, credit companies, credit agencies, notaries, depository institutions, employers and others

We may share any of the information we collect as described above.

Opt Out

If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you from the sources listed above to non-affiliated third parties (listed above), you may opt out of those disclosures by directing us not to share any nonpublic personal information with any entities, except those permitted by law.  If you wish to opt out of disclosures to non-affiliated third parties please call us at 1-866-549-3906.

Information Safeguarding

Our safeguarding plan is broken down into three areas. The first is Employee Management and Training:

  • All employees will have successfully passed a state and federal background check
  • Customer information will be limited to employees who have a business reason to see it
  • Computers that contain sensitive information will be password protected and have current anti-virus and/or spyware software installed and operating at all times
  • Employees will be trained to take basic steps to maintain security
  • Employees who violate company security policies will be subject to disciplinary measures

The second is Information Systems:

  • Anti-virus and spyware software programs update automatically
  • Sensitive customer information will be shredded when no longer needed
  • Electronic submissions will be secure to our website and to lenders
  • Computer data will be erased or deleted before disposal or sale of computer equipment

The third is Managing System Failures:

  • Inbound and outbound information will be monitored for compromise
  • If a breach occurs immediate action to terminate the breach will take place, for example the computer will be unplugged from the internet
  • Security professionals maybe brought into to assess the breach
  • Consumers and law enforcement will be notified in the event of a breach
